Writer agreement

This page summarises the independent contractor relationship between Hipothesis and writers. The legally binding text presented during onboarding may be versioned; archived versions are available on request.

Independence

Writers are not employees. They control how they schedule work subject to deadlines agreed per order and Platform policies.

Original work & integrity

Deliverables must be original or properly cited. Plagiarism, impersonation, or credential fraud may result in removal and legal action.

Payments

Payouts follow the admin-operated payment flow (e.g. Payoneer links and manual verification described in product documentation).

Non-circumvention

Writers must not solicit students off-platform to avoid fees. Violations may lead to suspension and forfeiture of pending balances.
